A Word of Greeting

Greetings to all throughout Province VIII. It is a genuine blessing to serve our provincial community in this communications ministry, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support the vital work being done across our dioceses and ministries. This report summarizes recent activity and offers several invitations for collaboration. Please do not hesitate to reach out — I am here to help and glad to be available to you.

Creation Care Web Presence

The Communications Ministry recently supported the Province VIII Creation Care Network Ministry through the development of two web pages on provinceviii.org

Creation Care Network page: A resource page for all interested in Creation Care
Creation Care Network Conference: A mini-site to support the Provincial Creation Care Conference coming to Las Vegas in September. It includes information about the conference and a registration page.

Provincial Web Presence

The Province VIII Website

Last year we launched the updated Province VIII website at www.provinceviii.org. The site serves as the primary public-facing home for provincial news, ministry information, and resources. We continue to develop and refine it, and your input and participation are always welcome.

Reorganized Ministry Report Page

We've reworked the page that displays ministry reports to make it easier to find all the recent reports. Have a report to submit? Email a Word document.

Ministry Web Pages

We are actively building out the provincial web presence to include pages for individual ministries. If your ministry would benefit from a presence on the Province VIII website, please reach out and we will be glad to work with you to make that happen.

Promoting Provincial Events

The Communications Ministry is pleased to promote events of provincial interest through two channels:

• The Provincial Events page: provinceviii.org/events

• The Provincial Facebook page: facebook.com/ProvinceVIII

If you have an event you would like promoted, please send the following details to communications@provinceviii.org:

• Event name, date, time, and location

• A brief description of the event

• Any images or graphics you would like included

• Registration or sign-up links, if applicable

• Contact information or links for readers who want to learn more

While sending a pdf or Word flyer is acceptable, I have to deconstruct it to convert to a web format. If possible, please provide a simple Word document or email with photo attachments. The more detail you provide, the better we can represent your event to the broader provincial community.

Email List

We undertook a small research project to expand our mailing list to include as many diocesan staff members as possible across the Province. As a result, we've increased our mailing list by almost 300.

You can add your email to our list in the form at the bottom of our website.

Provincial Ministry Directory

We are compiling a directory of web sites for provincial ministries, dioceses, and affiliated organizations. If your ministry has a web presence that you would like included, please send the name of your ministry and its web address to communications@provinceviii.org. This directory will make it easier for members across the province to discover and connect with the breadth of ministry happening in Province VIII.

Submitting Quarterly Ministry Reports

Ministry reports each quarter may be submitted in either of two ways:

• By email to communications@provinceviii.org

• By direct upload at provinceviii.org/submitreport

Please note that a technical issue affecting PDF uploads on the submission page has been resolved. However, Word documents (.docx) are the preferred format for all quarterly reports, as they allow for easier compilation and archiving.

Provincial Officer Email Addresses

Province VIII is in the process of transitioning all provincial officers to standardized, office-based email addresses. This ensures continuity of communication as leadership changes over time. The current addresses are as follows:
