President’s Report 

Province VIII 

Dear Province Siblings, 

First and foremost I would like to acknowledge the dedication and commitment to your ministry  and your work in the Province and beyond. Thank you! This is church in the flow of life,  representing the Living Gospel. It is through your insights and perspectives shared, regarding  needs and opportunities throughout our communities and the Province that allows the  becoming of the wider church. Working together we can lift up or ask for help as needed, we  encourage dreams and possibilities, working through various shifts, challenges and  opportunities. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the executive committee if you  have a question or concern. 

Province VIII continues to become as we build on the faithful ministry of our dioceses and  ministries. Our prayers are ever present for Dioceses in the midst of bishop searches,  Navajoland and Hawaii. We congratulate and welcome Bishop Elect Rev Gregory Kimura to the  Diocese of San Joaquin and Bishop Elect Antonio Gallardo in the Diocese of Los Angeles. May  the faith-filled continue to be fed and nourished by the word and God’s ever present guidance  through their leadership. 

We have a Grants Committee:The Rev. Tom Sramek Jr, Shelly Carlson, and the Rt Rev Jos  Tharakan agreed to serve on this committee. Please watch for updates regarding the granting  process. Grants are available for projects, events that encompass four or more diocese, with  two different granting pools. One pool for smaller grants will be open throughout the year and  the second pool will have two different deadlines. Grant forms will be available on the website  once developed.  

We are working with our communications officer, to establish an effective communications  network. With an active Facebook presence, our website needs your input and contributions  about events, ministries, and opportunities throughout the Province. These can be local  opportunities within your ministries or congregations - let us share our Good News.
