Young Adult and Campus Ministries

Tom Poyner and I continue to try and maintain a current roster of Young Adult and Campus Ministries within the Province. A difficulty we face in this is the frequent turnover of chaplains and the less formal nature of young adult ministry. 

Additionally, I have continued to meet monthly with the former YACM Advisory Council to collaborate and strategize plans for support of YACM in light of changes to the preexisting churchwide structure of support. Working together with Forma and the new Officer for Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries, we have established a YACM network within Forma that launched this spring. It is hoped that this partnership will provide a place to maintain a network of young adult and campus ministers, and a forum to house training and resources. We will continue to work with Forma to develop a YACM track within their annual conference, held in January. 

The Lutheran Campus Ministry organization, LuMin, has graciously invited Episcopal YACM ministers to attend their national conference this year in Denver, June 22-25.

The status of churchwide YACM grants is still unknown at this time.
